Welcome to Insights – The OTE Blog

Sometimes it is worth taking a moment to pause, reflect on where we have come from and look ahead to what comes next. That is exactly why we are launching Insights, our new blog, today.

With this blog, we want to share insights into our work, our projects and our thoughts on ERP systems, digital transformation and industry-specific solutions. But we also want to talk about the topics that matter to us as a team. We want to share experiences, offer new perspectives and perhaps even start a few meaningful discussions along the way.

In short, Insights is where we share our perspective on projects, technology and collaboration.

Looking Back at 2025

Even though the year is already a few weeks behind us, it is still worth taking a brief look back.

For us at OTE GmbH, 2025 was a year of change. Internally, we made several important strategic decisions that will shape our future direction. One of the biggest changes was in how we present ourselves and approach business development. For many years, we grew deliberately without a traditional sales organization. Most of our ERP projects came through recommendations, partnerships and long-standing customer relationships.

Last year, we began taking this approach a step further and making our expertise more visible to the outside world.

An important part of this journey was also finding ways to better structure and modularize our experience. In the food wholesale sector in particular, where we have supported numerous ERP projects over the years, we began turning our know-how into clearly defined solution modules. With solutions such as Central Food OTE, this enables a faster, more transparent starting point for ERP projects and helps customers benefit from proven processes and industry-specific expertise from day one.

2025 was also shaped by a major flagship project in the food wholesale sector that accompanied us closely for many months. We will certainly share more about this project in future blog posts.
For us, this project was special in many ways. It not only challenged our expertise but also demonstrated what can be achieved when a team works toward a shared goal with full commitment, conviction and dedication.

At this point, I would like to extend a very special thank you to the entire OTE team. The energy, professionalism and dedication we saw throughout this project rank among the most impressive achievements I have witnessed in my professional career.

A Promising Start to 2026

2026 has already gotten off to a very positive start for us.

The first results of our new marketing and business development strategy are already becoming visible, and we have successfully launched new projects that originated directly from these initiatives. For us, this is a strong indication that we are on the right track.

Of course, we are only at the beginning of this journey. Many of the topics we are currently working on will be explored in more detail in future blog posts. These will include lessons learned from ERP implementation projects, insights into industry-specific solutions, thoughts on project methodologies and perspectives on technological developments around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Why This Blog?

With Insights, we want to do more than simply share news and updates.

We want to create a space where we can share experiences from ERP projects, talk openly about challenges and offer our perspective on developments in the market. Especially in the ERP world, there are many topics that rarely get discussed openly, even though they play an important role in project after project.

Technology alone does not make a project successful. What really matters is how responsibility is taken throughout the project, how closely teams work with customers and how committed everyone is to developing and supporting solutions together.

That is exactly where we want to contribute.

Perhaps one or two articles will help make a project easier to understand. Perhaps they will spark a new idea or offer a different perspective on familiar topics.

A Thank You to Our Team and Partners

When we look back on 2025, one thing stands out above all else: the changes we achieved and the positive start to 2026 are first and foremost the result of a strong team effort.

Our team at OTE spent the past year building new structures with great focus and dedication while continuing to deliver successful outcomes across our ongoing projects. We would also like to thank our partners, with whom we had the opportunity to work on many projects throughout the year, especially our colleagues at Pier 9 and the many others who have accompanied us along the way.

The Beginning of a Series

This article is just the beginning.

In the weeks and months ahead, we will regularly share insights into our work. We will write about ERP projects, technologies, industry-specific solutions and the realities of day-to-day business that do not always look quite the same as they do in polished presentations.

Perhaps this blog will also make one thing clear: what drives us at OTE is taking responsibility. Responsibility for projects, for results and for our customers.

OTE. We Take Ownership.

Yours,

Alexander Lauermann
