Open conversations, honest insights, and real value
Much more than a marketing event
You can usually tell quite quickly whether an event is driven purely by sales goals or whether it leaves you with something genuinely valuable. For me, Continia Partner Day clearly falls into the latter category. As in previous years, the event was defined by open discussions, meaningful conversations, and the sense that the focus was not just on products, but on collaboration. It is this combination of practical insights and personal networking that makes the difference for me.

Peer-to-Peer Exchange
One of the things I personally value most is the conversations that happen between the sessions. You meet familiar faces, make new connections, and quickly realize that many partners are dealing with very similar challenges. That sense of “we’re not the only ones facing this” is often incredibly valuable in itself. And sometimes those conversations lead directly to practical solutions. This time, for example, we were able to resolve two current support cases simply by speaking with the right people on site. Those are exactly the kinds of opportunities you rarely get in day-to-day business.
Relevant Insights and Real Progress
There were also many topics that stayed with me from a content perspective. With the introduction of the Continia Suite, customers are now being introduced to the entire Continia portfolio rather than just the individual solutions that we as partners sometimes tend to specialize in. I was particularly interested in the panel session with Anita Rusek from Cosmo Consult Austria. She spoke very openly about how skeptical she initially was of the new Continia Banking and Finance products, mainly because many features were still missing compared to the well-established OPplus banking and finance solution. Thanks in no small part to her engagement and feedback, the product has evolved significantly. It has now reached a point where it can be recommended to customers and implemented with genuine confidence.
What I find particularly important is that this kind of development does not happen by chance. It is very clear that Continia listens carefully when partners provide feedback and takes that feedback seriously. Many of the topics raised in day-to-day project work eventually find their way into the products. For me, it is exactly this peer-to-peer exchange — and the willingness to turn feedback into meaningful improvements — that makes a real difference.
I also found the session by Data Courage on AI-powered financial analysis particularly interesting. It was an impressive example of how AI can shape the future of finance and the value these tools can provide for decision-makers. It highlighted not only the technological possibilities, but also the practical benefits of making complex financial information more accessible and actionable.
The right setting for meaningful conversations
Beyond the content itself, the overall setting plays an important role for me as well. The venue at Gastwerk in Hamburg is something special every year. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is excellent, and everything simply fits together. You feel welcome and well looked after from the moment you arrive. Another aspect I truly appreciate is that the Partner Day is free of charge for partners. Continia covers the content, organization, and catering in full. For us, the only costs are typically travel and accommodation.
That is by no means a given — and it shows how much Continia values its partners.
A Few Side Notes and Anecdotes
Travelling to Hamburg from Lake Constance is always a bit of a journey. This year, my return trip was unexpectedly delayed by a day due to strike-related disruptions, which gave me the opportunity to explore Hamburg a little more from a tourist’s perspective in beautiful weather. Not a bad outcome overall — except that my shoes had been chosen for a partner conference rather than long walks through the city.
Final thoughts
If I were to sum up the event in a few words, what remains above all is a very positive impression. You leave with new ideas, a better understanding of how the products are evolving, and stronger connections within the partner community. And that is exactly why Continia Partner Day remains an easy recommendation for me year after year.
